SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. JOSEPH REUTH [Spelling? Rueth]

This community was greatly saddened last Wednesday morning when the news came that Mrs. Mary Reuth had passed to the great beyond. She had not been well for a year or two but on this morning she went about her household duties as usual and sitting down about 9:45 in her chair, she suddenly breathed her last.

Mary Roedl was born in Beaver Dam Dodge Co. in 1861 and died at her home southwest of this village Jan. 9th, aged 56 years, 11 mo. and 11 days.

In 1882 she was united in marriage to Joseph Reuth of Jefferson, they moving to a farm near Beaver Dam where they lived until 1902, when they came to Loyal where they have since lived. The deceased leaves to mourn her loss her husband, six sons--- Frank, Joseph, John, Leo, Albert and Peter, three daughters, Theresia, Veronica and Martha, all of Loyal, three grandchildren and seven brothers, Peter, George, Frank, Martin, John, Michael and Jacob all of Beaver Dam, besides other relatives and many friends.

She was of a quiet and retiring nature which led her to hide her best qualities from the public, but her devotion to the family circle had no limit.

The funeral services were held at the Catholic Church on Saturday morning, Rev. Joseph F. Stenz officiating. She was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. The family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

Those from away who attended the funeral were her for brothers Frank, Martin, John and Jacob Roedl, af Beaver Dam, John Kastenmeier and sons, George and Leo and Frank Roedl Jr. of Beaver Dam. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schroedl, and John and Lambert Reuth of Jefferson.
