MARY SEARCY TO BE BURIED SATURDAY

Neighbors and friends of Mrs. Mary Searcy will be grieved to learn of the sudden departure from this earth of Mrs. Mary Searcy, wife of Jeff Searcy, at her home Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1941, when a sudden heart attack proved fatal to her.

Mrs. Searcy a long time resident of this community was the beloved friend of all that knew her and her sudden departure will be grieved by her many acquaintances.

She was born at Springfield, Ill., March 29, 1865, where she lived a happy childhood. In later years after her marriage to Jeff Searcy at Springfield, Ill., on March 8, 1891, they moved to this community where she and her husband had made their home for the past 30 years at Maplehurst.

On March 8, of this year of 1941, she and her husband would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Shje leaves to mourn her passing from these earthy things her husband, a son, Millard J. Searcy of Louisville, Ky.; and two daughters, Jessie E. Searcy of Springfield, Ill., and Mrs. John O. (Edna) Norton of Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Griebenow Funeral Parlors Saturday afternoon, Jan. 18, and burilal will be made at the family lot in the cemetery in Edinburg, Ill.

Pallbearers at the services will be her six nephews.
