C. A. WHITTEMORE BURIED AT RIVERSIDE

Funeral services were conducted for C. A. Whittemore, 84 years and 11 months of age, Monday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. from the Griebenow funeral parlors. The Rev. W. A. Hotchkiss officiated at the services and interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Whittemore for the past several years had been suffering from extremely poor health and for the past year had been confined to his bed at home. His passing came to him quietly on Wednesday, April 15.

Mr. Whittemore was a pioneer resident of the community of Withee, having resided on his farm north and west of the village for the past 48 years, having settled there in 1904, at which time he moved to this community from Milwaukee where he had spent ten years ago.

Those who survive his passing are, sons, Charles, George, Jim, John, and Bob at home, and Arthur, who is in the armed services in California and was home for the services; six daughters, Mrs. Norma Sperling of Withee, Mrs. Alice Hanke of Wausau, Laura of Milwaukee, and Mabel who is at home; two sisters and a brother of New York, seven grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.
