TRANSCRIBED TEXT:

A sad accident occurred in the town of York Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 21, which resulted in the death of Levi J. Fulwiler. He was engaged in running the threshing machine which had been working at J. Plummer's. The regular engine was sick and Mr. Fulwiler had taken charge of the engine. After the job was finished he was attempting to back the engine up to the couple to the separator and in some way he was caught between the engine and the feeder, injuring him so that he died in about half an hour. He was conscious to the last. Deceased was born in the town of Jackson, Washington County, Wis., July 18, 1867. He came to Clark County in Jan. 1884 and has lived here ever since, following farming as an occupation. About ten years ago he was married to Lois A. Smithers, who with their children, a boy and a girl, survive him. He leaves also his parents, five brothers and one sister to mourn his untimely death. He was a much respected citizen by all who knew him and his death is a loss to the community as well as his family. The funeral took place Friday, at the M.E. church at York Center, Rev. J. A. Hill of Loyal officiating. The Modern Woodman of which order he was a member had charge of the funeral.
