MRS. FRED SCHUMACHER DIED AT SHWANO

Mrs. Fred A. Schumacher, 115 North Barlette Street, Shawano, died at 5:40 a. m. April 24, after an illness of three weeks. She had been in poor health for about a year but was confined to her home only two weeks before her death.

Mrs. Schumacher, nee Anna Schupsky, was born May 17, 1875 in Austria, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mikeal Schupsky. She came to this country at the age of eight, setting in Stetsonville.

On July 16, 1892 she was joined in holy matrimony with Fred Schumacher also of Stetsonville. They made their home at Withee from 1900 to 1945 when they moved to Shawano. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1942. Mrs. Schumacher was a member of St. James Lutheran church.

Survivors are her husband, one daughter, (Laura) Mrs. Irvin Olson, Shawano, four grandchildren, and a brother, Michael Schupsky of Hawkins.

Funeral services were conducted in the Schweers funeral home Saturday afternoon, April 26, 1947 at two O'clock. The K. R. Going officiated and burial was in Woodlawn cemetery.--Shawano Leader.
