Murray, Dr. D. F. (11 NOV 1871)

Dr. D. F. Murray, who is a graduate of the Baltimore Medical College, Maryland Medical College and the University of Buffalo in New York, was born Nov. 11, 1871 in Steuben Co., N.Y., and came to Wisconsin in 1901, practicing in Portage, Douglas and Bayfield Counties. He came here (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) in 1903. Since locating here he has noticed many improvements, such as the lumber yard, brick stores, bank and potato warehouse. The future he thinks promises very good as far as can be seen at present, but depends upon the class of businessmen we keep here. A small manufacturing plant is needed he says. Credit is given for the way the town has built up, everyone taking an interest in its up-building. In making a comparison, it compares favorably with other towns, but if Humbird keeps on growing and prospering as it has in the last few years, it will be far above the rest. However, at the present time, it is superior to the general average.
