South Romadka: Mrs. Frank Lavey passed away at her home about 4 o’clock last Tuesday afternoon, after a lingering illness of about 2 years. Those who knew her, knew her as a true friend, always ready to lend assistance in sickness and trouble and no one knowing her could help but appreciate her kind and free hearted disposition, generous spirit, cheerfulness and good nature. The sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended to the family in their great sorrow and bereavement.

The funeral services were held in the Windfall Church, Rev. Mallory officiating. Interment was made at the Windfall Cemetery. The pall bearers were Orin Montgomery, Fred Tyler, Gus Bergeman, John Pietenpol, Albert Davis and Price Lee. The relatives from away were: Mrs. Jen Coughlin, Mr. and Mrs. August Wickersheim and Mrs. John Lavey and daughter Genevieve of Chilton, and Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Rausmussen of Marshfield.

A beautiful, patient saintly life; from out our midst has gone. Our friend’s home is desolate, and we in sympathy mourn; her family will miss her sadly, for her life was given to their care and her husband will often be lonely when he thinks of the vacant chair. Dearest loved one, we must lay thee in the peaceful grave’s embrace, but thy memory will be cherished ‘till we see thy heavenly face.
