Fowler, Isla B. (Marriage - 2 Jul 1913)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized Wednesday evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Fowler, when their niece, Miss Isla Belle Fowler was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph P. Pickett, both of Omaha, Neb., the Rev. F. M. Prucia officiating, in the presence of only a few relatives.

The bride was beautifully attired in white voile over satin, trimmed with Venetian lace and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Gertrude Braman of Minneapolis, who wore a pretty pink silk gown trimmed with cream lace. Dudley Fowler, a cousin of the bride, served as best man. The bridal party entered to the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Alice Fowler. The ceremony took place before an improvised altar of palms and white roses, under a large bell of smilax and roses, the color scheme in the parlor being green and white.

After the ceremony a bountiful repast was served in the dining room, which was beautifully decorated in pink and green.

The bride's mother of Minneapolis, came to attend the wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Pickett will be at home after July 15th, at 2712 Clinton Av., Minneapolis.
