Waters, Maude E. (Marriage - 19 JUNE 1917)

MARRIED

On Tuesday afternoon June 19 at two o'clock at the home of Mrs. A. M. Waters near Alma Center occurred the marriage of her daughter Maude E. and Erven M. Staves of Cleveland. Rev. H. S. Witherbee of Fairchild pronounced the ceremony.

They were attended by Miss Matie Staves and Mr. Dana Waters. The bride and bridesmaid attired alike in gowns of white silk, the groom wore a shirt of blue. The bride wore a wreath and veil and carried a bouquet of pink and white cosmos. Miss Mildred Fryer of Tomah played the wedding march.

About 50 guests were present to witness the ceremony at five o'clock a bounteous supper was served. The groom is an industrious and worthy young man, and the bride is well known in our community, having taught school in our district the past two years we feel will be a very worthy helpmate for him.

They will reside for a time at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Staves. Best wishes of many friends are with them.
