Fred Rack of the town of Beaver had a fine horse killed by a through train yesterday afternoon, Lewis Molle had the team to move a load of hay to the car, but before he had the the team hitched to the sleigh a train came through at a high rate of speed.  The team broke away and attempted to cross the track but the engine struck the nigh horse knocking him down between the train and the load of hay, and in a struggle to get up he was struck again and so badly hurt as to necessitate killing.  The other horse broke the other way and was uninjured.
