McCarty, Allan H. (9 May 1901 - 7 May 1972)

Allan H. McCarty, 70, a former area resident, died May 7, at his home in Fond du Lac. Funeral services and burial took place Tuesday, May 9, at Fond du Lac.

Mr. McCarty, the son of the late Almon and Jessie (Barr) McCarty, was born May 9, 1901, at Longwood and was educated there and at Greenwood High School from which he graduated in 1919. He worked on his father’s farm for a few years; he then was employed in Waupun and in Fond du Lac. Mr. McCarty was a member of the Fond du Lac Masonic Lodge and of Peace United Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, the former Edna Krueger; two daughters, Mrs. Arlyn (Andrea) Doern and Debra, both of Fond du Lac; a granddaughter, Christine Doern; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Violet) Farwell and Elizabeth McCarty, both of Saginaw, Mi; and a nephew, Michael McCarty of St. Louis, Mo.
