Brocker, Gus (18 July 1876 - 14 April 1957)

Abbotsford - Services will be held here Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Zink Funeral Home for Gus Brocker, 80, who died of a stroke Monday at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen, Wis.

The Rev. Richard Harrison, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the rites and burial will take place in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Mr. Brocker was born in Davenport, Iowa, July 18, 1876. He left there as a young man for the West, where he was employed as a horse trainer. At the age of 30 he returned to Davenport, where he married Mildred Untiedt march 12, 1908. He farmed near Owen before coming to the Abbotsford vicinity about 23 years ago.

Survivors include the widow, who Howard, Iron Mountain, Mich., Walter, Chippewa Falls, Clifford, West Allis, and Norman, Fontana, Calif.; two daughters, Bernice, New York City, and Mrs. Steve (Mabel) Sweek, West Allis; two brothers, John and Herman, both of Davenport; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
