Kreuser, Anton (6 DEC 1855 - DEC 1932)

Anton Kreuser was born December 6, 1855 at Richfield, Wis., growing to manhood in Washington County. During November, 1883, he was united in Holy wedlock to Johanna Ney. Prior to his coming to Loyal Mr. Kreuser with his family lived at West Bend over a period of 10 years, moving during the year 1906 to a farm near the south limits of the Village of Loyal. It was here that the family was bereaved when death took Mrs. Kreuser from their midst on Nov. 14, 1924.

Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Kreuser; Bernadine Kreuser, Gillet; Helen Schmitz, Milwaukee; Edwin and Alfred of Loyal, all of whom survive. The deceased also leaves 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The deceased suffered ill health during the past six months. Death came while he was living at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Helen Schmitz, Milwaukee. Funeral services were held here Saturday Morning at 9 o’clock in St. Anthony’s Church, the Father A. Aurit officiating. Burial took place in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were Frank Pink, Joseph Wedl, A. J. Braun, John Geiger, Frank Bauer and Albert Davel.

Mr. Kreuser leaves a wide circle of friends and acquaintances who held him in high esteem. Those with whom he came in contact remember his sterling qualities of honesty, neighborliness, his devotion to family and friend and his faithfulness to church. A genial fellow man has been taken from our midst. A kindly soul has departed from time into eternity.

Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were his two daughters; a sister, Anna Kreuser; a brother, Mike Kreuser; two nephews, Walter and Bert Kreuser, and a niece, Helen Kreuser.
