Postmaster L. O. Garrison has been confined to the house by illness, during the past week.

Barnette Simerson, brother of Ed. and Wm., of McGregor, Iowa, is paying them a visit at this place.

Mrs. J. S. Sanders has teased the Dodds boarding house and is ready to accommodate a few boarders.

The Ladies social circle will meet with Mrs. Collins, Thursday p.m. Aug. 20. Everybody invited.......Mrs. Maston, Sec.

The ball game on Sunday last at this place between Cadott and Thorp clubs resulted in another victory for the Thorpites.

?? Sheldon and family started for Royalton yesterday to visit relatives. Mr. S. will also take in the Encampment at Milwaukee next week.

Mrs. N. E. Wagner and sister Annie Lindeman, arrived here from Grand Rapids, Mich., on Friday last and will reside here in the future.

A dance for the benefit of the second base ball nine will be held at Sargent's hall next week, (Saturday) evening, for the purpose of aiding the club in procuring their new suite. Tickets 50 cents. Jas. Connors will manage the floor for the kids.
