I am trying to locate information about a John Weingartner from Germany who was in Wisconsin in the 1970-1890s.I believe this obituary may be related. Our John was married to a Mary Casey and had three girls: Rosanna, Catherine, aand Susuan Elma. Rosanna married Adrian Sebastian Lobre in Port Washington in 1878. Susie was in Milwaukee in 1880. She later married William A. Fricke. Catherine never married. I believe there are some inaccuracies in the obituary. Augusta had two children in the 1870 census, but no husband. In 1880 she was listed as "divorced" in Milwaukee. John Weingartner, a brewer, shows up in Manitowoc with Catherine and he is listed as "married". I'm still trying to reconcile this. A John Weingartner died in Milwaukee on June 29, 1897. He is buried by himself in Calvary cemetery. The age is correct to be this John.
