Cammers, William J. (2 April 1876 - 1954)

Colby - Funeral services for William J. Cammers, 78, who died Sunday noon at his home, will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the town of Beaver Cemetery.

Mr. Cammers was born in Milwaukee April 2, 1876. At the age of 20, he moved with his parents to the town of Beaver in Clark County. He did farm work during the summer and was employed at sawmills and logging operations in the winter. Later, he owned and operated cheese factories. He was active in the Equity Cooperative Shipping Association and worked vigorously for the advancement of markets for the diary industry.

On May 6, 1905, he was married to Miss Mary Jane Ayer at Colby.

Mr. Cammers is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Rosalie J. DeRevey, Peoria, Ill.; three sons, Cullen Cammers, Chicago, Ill.; William E. Cammers, Castries, St. Lucia, Brit. Best Indies; and Frank Cammers, at home; a brother, Fred Cammers, Colorado; six sisters, six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Lulloff Funeral Home, where the body is lying in state.
