Hildebrandt, August (16 SEP 1826 - 21 SEP 1901)
August Hildebrandt, father of Mrs. Adam Kuentz, who has been in feeble health for some time, died Sunday morning, at the home of his daughter. Mr. Hildebrandt was born at Ostinsel, Province of Prussia, Germany, Sept/ 16th, 1826, where he was united in marriage with Miss Anna E. Lindecke, to which union there was born two children, one son, August, Jr., who died at Ashland about four weeks ago, and one daughter, Mrs. Adam Kuentz of Colby. He came with his family to Calvary, Fond du Lac Co., in 1872, where they lived about nine years, then went to Ashland and remained for some time, but for the past nine or ten years he has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Kuentz, and for the last year or more he has been confined to the house. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from Zion’s Lutheran Church, Rev. A. Kuring officiating.
