LaFee, Ada (20 NOV 1854 - 5 OCT 1903)

Mrs. G.W. LaFee died at her home in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., Monday afternoon, Oct. 5th, 1903, of heart failure. While not in the best of health she was about the house attending to her usual duties until 4 o’clock, when she called her daughter Ethel and told her she was dying, and in twenty minutes she had passed from this life.

Ada Bradford was born in Fredonia, Ozaukee Co., Wis. Nov. 20th, 1854; in April 1875, she was married to G. Warren LaFee at Stevens Point, and the same year moved to Colby, settling in the town of Hull, on the farm that has ever since been her home. She was the mother of fourteen children, thirteen of whom are living, 5 boys and 8 girls.

The old settlers, the newcomers and in fact all who knew her will join Warren and his children in mourning the loss of a faithful wife, a kind and loving mother and a true friend.

The funeral was held from the M.E. Church in this city Wednesday, conducted by Rev. W.M. Philpott. The interment was at Colby Cemetery.
