Wittlinger, Alma (16 Oct. 1869 - March 1943)

Funeral services will be conducted at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger, at 2 p.m. Saturday for Mrs. Alma Wittlinger, 73, who died at St. Joseph’s Hospital here at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday of a heart ailment.

Mrs. Wittlinger had been a patient at the hospital since March 13, having suffered a fractured hip as a result of a fall.

The body will lie in state at the Central Wisconsin Co-operative Funeral Home here from Friday noon until 11 a.m. Saturday, when it will be taken to the Riplinger church. The Rev. Gerhardt Reiff will officiate at the rites and burial will take place in the family lot at Beaver Township Cemetery.

Alma Pipkorn was born in Germany on Oct. 19, 1869, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Pipkorn, and came to the United States with them when she was only a year old. She spent her girlhood and was educated at Fremont, Wis., where she was married to Charles Wittlinger.

For a dozen years after their marriage they lived at Dale, and 30 years ago came to Beaver Township, Clark County. Mr. Wittlinger and one son preceded her in death, and for the past few years she had lived at the home of a son, Charles Jr., Beaver.

Surviving in addition to Charles are another son, Harvey, of Curtiss, and seven daughters; Mrs. George (Lena) Bauer, Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Fred (Clara) Clouse, Loyal; Mrs. Walter (Esther) Ayer and Mrs. Henry (Nada) Miller, Riplinger; and Mrs. Julius (Viola) Lange, Owen; Mrs. Otto (Gertrude) Becker, Unity; and Mrs. Milton (Lulu) Songstad, Milwaukee.

Three sisters and three brothers also survive.
