Theo. McGaughey, who has been assistant at the depot for the past year, was called to his former home at Russelville, Ind., last week by the severe illness of his mother.

Chas. Kuehl has resigned his position with Garrison Bros., which he has so ably filled the past six years. Herman Tiedeman now fills his place behind the counter.

Among their new work Hansen & Rassmussen have turned out of their shops seven lumber wagons, one buggy, and one two-seat and one three-seat platform wagons during the past few months.

Wm. Walsdorf will give a dance at his hall on the evening of Thanksgiving Day, Thursday Nov 27th. Tickets 50 cents; including supper at the Commercial House, $1.25. The Germania Band will furnish the music.

The National Cornet Band will give a dance at Kurz & Hipke's hall on Christmas night Dec 25th. Tickets, including supper at the Forest Queen House. $1.50. Everybody welcome.
