Soldner, Charley (28 Feb. 1877 - 24 April 1935)

Charley Soldner was born at Reeseville, Dodge County, Wisconsin, Feb. 28, 1877, and passed away in Neillsville April 24, 1935, at the age of 58 years, one month and 24 days. He spent his young life with the home folks at Reeseville, until he has attained the age of 23. He went to Minn., where he bought a farm, which he operated for several years, later selling his farm and moving back to Neillsville where he bought a farm in the town of Hewett, which he worked for about 12 years, when he discontinued farming an account of poor health. He made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Robb for about two years and was in the hospital several different times. He finally went to board at the Haley Wall home in Neillsville, where he passed peacefully away while sleeping. He leaves to mourn his loss, three brothers, William of Hewett, and Louis of Reeseville, and George of Pine Island, Minn., also five sisters, Elizabeth, Mrs. Neuberger, Mina, Mrs. Knipple; Kate, Mrs. Kohler, Matilda, Mrs. Will; and Carolina Soldner. He was laid to rest in the Neillsville cemetery, April 27, Rev. Longenecker officiating. The funeral was held at the Lowe Funeral Home.

Charles was a fine neighbor and friend and was respected by all who knew him.

Those from away who came to attend the funeral were, Mr. and Caroline Sollberger, and Mrs. Elizabeth Neubuger, brother and sisters of deceased and George Soldner, a cousin, all of Reeseville, Wis.
