Golden Jubilee Class Graduates At Humbird

The commencement exercise of the golden jubilee class of the Humbird High School were held last Thursday night when the following were awarded diplomas: Werner Amport, Vera Campbell, Eileen Creviston, Theo. Dignin, June Duerkop, Ramona Holman, Walter Jenswold, Herman Laffe, Alice Michael, Marjorie Nibbe, Martha Trachsel, and Wayland Waters. Prof. Marshall Norseng of Madison was the commencement speaker.

The Humbird High School was instituted in 1883, the first class consisting of the single young lady being graduated in 1885. George F. Witter, now an attorney of Oakland, California, was principal of the school at the time, and later his first graduating class, Miss Mayme Carter, became his wife.
