Hrach, Cecelia (Marriage - June 1935)

In a church setting of ferns and peonies, Miss Cecelia Hrach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Hrach of the town of Weston, was married to Arthur Ackerman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ackmerman, of the town of Pine Valley, at 10 a.m., Wednesday. The ceremony took place in St. John’s Lutheran Church, the pastor, Rev. William Bauman, officiating, in the double ring ceremony.

The bride was very prettily attired in a gown of white satin with veil and carried roses and lilies of the valley. Her maid of honor, Miss Velda Tews, was dressed in an attractive light blue dress and carried a bouquet. Wilbert Kalsow was best man. "Lohengrin’s wedding March" was played by Mrs. Emil Schmidt of Neillsville and Paul Blum, accompanied by Mrs. Bauman, sang "Jesus Lead Me."

Both the bride and groom were born and raised in this community and are very favorably known. Miss Hrach was employed for several years at the Badger Inn in Neillsville where she won many friends by her efficiency and genial personality.

Following a luncheon served at the home of the groom’s parents, the young couple started on a honeymoon trip to the northern part of the state. They will be a home in Pine Valley, after June 30.
