Carlson, Ella (24 MAR 1894 - 16 APR 1907)

Ella, the thirteen year old daughter of Mrs. Carlson, died at her home in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), Tuesday forenoon, April 16th, 1907, of pneumonia and emphysema, after an illness of about nine weeks. She was twice operated by Dr. Doege for abscess of the lungs, but without avail, with the best of medical care, assisted by Mrs. K. Hess, an experienced nurse, everything that was possible to do to save the little girl’s life was done.

Ella was a member of the M.E. Sunday school and Junior League, and her associates showered her casket with beautiful floral offerings to show the esteem in which she was held by them. The mother, brothers and sisters have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.

The funeral was held this afternoon from the M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. G.W. Austin.
