Harrer, Lorenz (11 AUG 1834 - 8 JUL 1907)

Died, at his home in the town of Frankfort, Marathon Co., Wis., on Monday, July 8th, 1907, of cancer of the stomach, Mr. Lorenz Harrer, aged 73 years, 10 months and 28 days.

Lorenz Harrer was born in Germany, Aug. 11th, 1834; he came to America in the year 1874, and to Colby soon after, residing in town until the spring of 1878, when he moved to his homestead in the town of Frankfort, eight miles northeast of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), where he resided until his death. Deceased was a hard worker and an honest, honorable citizen, respect by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his death his widow and six children, four sons and two daughters, besides many relatives and friends.

The funeral was held from St. Mary’s Church Wednesday forenoon, conducted by Rev. Peter Trierweiler of Marshfield.

The out of town relatives who were here to attend the funeral were: John Harrer, a son, and his wife of Bemidji, Minn.; Mrs. Effie Kelly, a daughter of Bayfield; Mrs. Kornstalk of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Harrer of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Walters, Steven Walters, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fuller of March, and Mr. and Mrs. Hause of Unity.
