Reidel, Vera (Marriage - 7 Aug. 1935)

In a beautiful setting a gladioli and bouquets of mixed flowers, Miss Vera Reidel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Reidel of the Town of Lynn, was married to Ernest Lustig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Frank, Chili, Aug. 7, at the Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. J. G. Buth officiated in the double ring ceremony, which was witnessed by a host of friends and relatives.

The bride was attended by a cousin, Miss Esther Schlinsog of the Town of York and Miss Ella Krause, and the bridegroom by Clarence Reidel, Lynn, brother of the bride, and Raymond Schlinsog, Town of York, cousin of the groom. Lohengrin’s Wedding March was played by Mrs. J. G. Buth.

Miss Reidel was attired in a lovely gown of white georgette over silk with tulle veil arranged in cap effect. She carried a bouquet of carnations and sweet peas. Miss Ella Krause was attractively dressed in pink crepe trimmed with white and Miss Schlinsog wore a pretty costume of yellow crepe trimmed with blue.

A supper was served to 20 guests at the home of the bride’s parents which was decorated with pink and white streamers. A large wedding cake formed the table centerpiece.

Miss Reidel was graduated from the Mayflower grade school in 1928 and was confirmed at Zion’s Lutheran Church in 1929. She is a young lady of excellent character and ideals and highly spoken of. The bridegroom who is engaged in farming is a young man of quiet, industrious habits and pleasing personality.

Mr. and Mrs. *Lustig will make their home at the groom’s mother’s farm at Chili.

*In the original write up it had Reidel.
