Ehlert, August (6 MAR 1887 - 10 MAR 1970)

LOYAL, Clark Co., Wis. - August Ehlert, 83, died Tuesday, March 10, 1970, at Memorial Home, Neillsville, of a complication of ailments.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Humlie will officiate, and interment will be made in Pine Grove Cemetery at Loyal.

The body will lie in state at the Roycraft Funeral Home beginning Thursday noon.

Mr. Ehlert, who never married, was born March 6, 1887, in the town of Loyal and was educated in rural schools in that area. He had lived on the Loyal township farm where he was born until 1946, then retired and moved into Loyal, where he made his home until going to Memorial Home four years ago.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.

Survivors are two brothers, John of Oconomowoc and Julius of Loyal. His parents and sister preceded him in death.
