Driessen, Mary (3 SEP 1874 - 31 JAN 1935)

Mrs. Fred Driessen (nee Mary Liske), born on Sept. 3, 1874, died at her home on Thursday evening, Jan. 31st, 1935 at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 28 days. Deceased was born in New Holstein, Calumet County, and moved with her parents to the town of Worden, Clark Co., Wis. in 1894.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Fred Driessen of the town of Worden on June 19, 1900. They moved to the town of Thorp in 1915 where they have since resided.

This union was blessed with eleven children, one daughter, Theresa, preceding her in death four years ago.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband and ten children, three daughters: Agnes at home, Mrs. Mike Brooks (Delia) of Dundas, and Marie; seven sons: John of the Philippine Islands, Philip of Ceres, Calif., Edward, South Carolina, Fritz, Sylvester and Charles at home; two grandchildren, Bernard and Marion Brooks, and four sisters, Helena Liske, Mrs. John Huls of Ladysmith, Mrs. George Vandehey of Worden, and Mrs. Wm. Oberle of Thorp.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard’s Church on Monday, Feb. 4th, the Rev. A.M. Muckerheide officiating. Interment followed the services in the Catholic Cemetery.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brooks of Dundas; Philip Driessen of Ceres, Calif.; Benedict Driessen of Columbia, South Carolina; Edward Driessen of Withee; Helena Liske of Ladysmith; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Driessen, Mrs. Kate Vandeyacht, George Vandeyacht, Mrs. Anton Vandeyacht of Hollandtown; Mr. Ed Driessen of Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Van Ells of Port Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Driessen, Mrs. George Schneider, Mrs. Anna Henke, Miss Martha Henke of Stanley.
