Proue, Eileen, M. (23 MAY 1925 - 13 FEB 2006)

Eileen M. Proue, 80, Bloomer, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at her residence. Visitation will be held from 4-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Olson Funeral Home, Bloomer, where there will be a Rosary service at 4:30 p.m. and a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, at noon, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Bloomer. The Rev. James Arthur will officiate. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery.

Eileen M. Reischel was born on May 23, 1925, in Bloomer, to William and Anna (nee Kolmer) Reischel . She married Herbert Krueger on May 6, 1946, in Bloomer, and after his death, Gene Proue on Oct. 9, 1971, in Stoughton. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and PCCW, Bloomer American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Bloomer Hospital Auxiliary. She loved fishing, traveling, working, doing crafts, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley (John) Zenner, Spencer; three sisters, Doris Schroetter, Bloomer, Janet Sandeno, Alexandria, Minn., and Barbara (Ron) Bohl, Tilden; three grandchildren, Eric (Vickie) Zenner, John (Diana) Zenner, and Kelly (Cary) Hildebrandt; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ada Reischel, Bloomer.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Herbert Krueger and Eugene Proue, and a brother, Jerome Reischel.

Olson Funeral Home, Bloomer, is assisting the family with arrangements.
