Krause, Mary (5 MAY 1866 - 7 NOV 1939)

LYNN, Clark Co., Wis. - Mrs. Herman Krause, 73, who for the past 39 years had been a patient at the Clark County Hospital at Owen, died there Tuesday evening, Nov. 7, 1939.

The body is lying in state at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton, where funeral rites will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will take place in the Lynn Cemetery.

Mrs. Krause, nee Mary Gross, was born in Sheboygan May 5, 1866. As a girl she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Neillsville, where she was married later to Herman Krause. Mr. Krause died Dec. 11, 1936.

Surviving are eight children: Mrs. Elmer (Martha) Rose, Lynn; Mrs. Ray (Lydia) Ure, Pittsville; Mrs. Ed (Agnes) Ure, Junction City; Mrs. John (Gertrude) Breseman, Lynn; Mrs. Arthur (Lottie) Marge, Granton; Cleo, Milton Junction; and Martin and Emil, Lynn. A son, Walter, died in Nov. 1937.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. August (Emma) Tietz, Oconomowoc.
