Wagner, Theresa (9 JUL 1824 - 3 JAN 1912)

Died, at her home, 221 South St., this city, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1912, Mrs. Theresa Wagner, aged 87 years, 5 months and 25 days, of general debility.

Theresa Huber was born in Bayern, Germany, July 9, 1824, and came to this country when a young lady, coming direct to Beaver Dam, Wis. Shortly after her arrival here she was united in marriage to Joseph Wagner, who died Sept. 2, 1890.

Mrs. Wagner has lived in the house where she died more than fifty years, and was one of Beaver Dam’s oldest citizens.

She is survived by five children. They are: Mrs. Samuel Shafer, Colby, Wis.; Joseph Wagner of this city; William Wagner of Thorp, Mrs. Carl von Neupert, Stevens Point, and Mrs. John Hankey of Aurora, Ill.

The funeral services were held from St. Peter’s Church at 9 o’clock this morning and burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery. (Beaver Dam Argus)

Mrs. Wagner visited at the home of her daughter in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.) a number of years ago, and made friends with all whom she met. Mrs. Shafer was unable to attend the funeral, owing to the illness of her daughter.
