Cook, Emma I. (15 JUN 1912)

A wedding of more than usual interest was performed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Cook at 10:30 o’clock Saturday, June 15th, 1912, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating, when Miss Emma Isabel Cook of this village became the bride of Mr. Everett Charles Hirsch of the town of Hull, Marathon Co. The bride was attired in white crepe meteor and carried a bouquet of white roses. She was attended by Miss Edith Cook, sister of the bride and Miss Minnie Yahr. The bridesmaids were dressed in white and carried carnations. Walter Cook, brother of the bride, and Cal Hirsch, brother of the groom, attended the groom.

After the impressive ceremonies, which were witnessed by only relatives and near friends, a sumptuous wedding dinner was served. The newlyweds autoed to Marshfield, where they took the train for Waupaca, where they will spend some time at Allen’s Cottage, Columbia Lake. The bride is the estimable daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Cook, a young lady of admirable qualities, and a happy disposition that has won her a host of friends. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hirsch of the town of Hull. He is a man of sterling worth and exemplary habits. For the past year he has been principal of the Loyal High School.

They will make Loyal, Clark Co. their home as Mr. Hirsch has been engaged to teach there again this coming year.

Both bride and groom have many friends here who extend heartiest congratulations.
