Anding, Alfred O. (6 Oct. 1896 - 1977)

Funeral services for Alfred O. Anding, 80, of 431 Alley St., Mayville, who died Sunday evening at Waupun Memorial Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mayville.

The Rev. Merill Herder will officiate at the services, with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the Town of Theresa.

He was born on Oct. 6, 1896, in Clark County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anding. On Nov. 28, 1918, he married Gertrude Lindow of Clark County. Mr. Anding and his son Oris formerly owned and operated the Coast-to Coast Store in Mayville. He retired in 1962 and was a long time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Oris and William, both of Mayville; two brothers, Richard of Pontiac, Mich., and Charles of Neillsville; one sister Mrs. Helen Harriman of Owen; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends and relatives may call at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from noon until the time of services.
