Sieber, Jacob H. (15 OCT 1873 - 12 APR 1912)

Jacob H. Sieber, for many years a resident of the town of Colby, Clark Co., Wis., died at his home in Minong, Washburn Co., Wis., on Saturday, April 12th, 1913, of tuberculosis, aged 39 years, 5 months and 28 days.

Jacob H. Sieber was born in Sheboygan Co., Oct. 15th, 1873, and came to Colby with his parents in 1880, and continued to reside here until his marriage to Miss Auralie Greenwood, on Jan. 15th, 1902, when he removed to Minong, where he had previously taken up a homestead. He was a hardworking young man and highly respected by all of his neighbors and friends here, and in his late home. He leaves his widow and six children, Leona, Alma, Clarence, Gladys, Audrey and Ervin to mourn the death of a kind and loving husband and father. He is also mourned by two brothers, Ernst and Julius of Antigo, two sisters, Miss Minnie, and Mrs. Jerry Stauss, and his uncle, Fred Diedrick, all of Sheboygan Co., all of whom, including Mr. Stauss, were her to attend the funeral.

The remains were brought to this city, Tuesday morning, and the funeral held Wednesday afternoon, from the M.E. Church, under the auspices of the Modern Woodmen, of which order he was an honored member. Interment took place in Colby Cemetery.
