Kalsow, Leona (Marriage - 11 Oct. 1936)

Leona Kalsow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kalsow of this city, was married to Edwin Sternitzky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sternitzky of Lynn at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rev. Wm. A. Baumann officiating in the double ring ceremony. Lohengrin’s Wedding march was played by Eric Sievert and "Jesus Still Leads On" was sung by the congregation.

Mrs. Herbert Sternitzky, cousin of the bride, and Evelyn Kalsow, sister of the bride, were maids. The groom was attended by Herbert Sternitzky, brother, and Armon Moh, Lynn.

The bride was very attractive in a gown of white transparent velvet with long veil, carrying a bouquet of asters and roses tied with a long satin ribbon. The matron of honor was attired in a long wine transparent velvet dress and the bridesmaid wore a long dark green transparent velvet gown.

A dinner to 40 guests was served at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being decorated in pink and white streamers, green and white bells and late autumn flowers. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Victor Kalsow, brother of the bride and two sons and Mrs. Ernest Gloff, sister of the bride and two daughters, all of Milwaukee.

Both of the bride and her husband are young people who are spoken very highly of by an exceptionally large circle of friends. They will make their home on a farm at Lynn when they return from a two week’s honeymoon trip.
