Krie, Theodore W. (July 1, 1941 - September 18, 2005)

Theodore W Krei, age 64, Thorp, died Sunday, September 18, 2005, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley. Following a 4 p.m. visitation at the Thorp Funeral Home, funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday September 22, 2005 at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel, Thorp. The Rev. George Olinske will officiate. Theodore Walter Krei was born on July 1, 1941, in Randolph, NE, to Theodore and Teresa (Lewis) Krei. He spent most of his childhood in Nebraska, before his family moved to Greenwood, in March of 1957, where he completed his education, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1958. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 until 1962, and then in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1962 until 1965. He married Gloria Carson in Belfast, ME, in 1962. They moved to Wisconsin in 1969 and later divorced. He then married Beverly Hennig on August 7, 1981, in Cadott. They moved to Worden, rural Thorp and raised their family. He worked as an electrician for Industrial Electric and B & B Electric for more than 30 years. His wife, Beverly died on August 26, 2005. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #953 in Eau Claire and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are four daughters, Barbara (Jeff) Helland, Augusta, Karen Brovan, Chippewa Falls, Kimberley (Robert) Ottinger, Thorp, and Lisa (Jamie) Boyer, Neillsville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Teresa Zocher, Greenwood; one brother, Harold (Mary) Krei, Fall Creek; one sister, Janet (James) Petkovsek, Greenwood; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Beverly; his father; and one step-daughter, Lori Roberts.

Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, is assisting the family with arrangements.
