Laura Lee Gamel Morris, age 58, of Vanceboro, NC, died Tuesday, December 6, 2005, in Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Laura Lee, a native of Nebraska, lived her early life in Neillsville, Wis. She lived in Washington D.C. for a number of years where she was employed by the FBI as a finger printer. She later lived in Illinois prior to making her home in Vanceboro in 1976. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and an avid supporter of the humane Society.

Laura Lee is survived by her husband, Jodie H Morris, of New Bern, NC; a son, Bryon (Donna) H. Yeager, of the U.S. Army, currently stationed at APG, Maryland; two daughters, Samantha L Yeager of Vanceboro; and Crystal Gale (Brian) Knisley of Ernul; six grandchildren who lovingly called her "Nana", Adrenne Leigh Yeager, Bryon H. Yeager, Jr., Caitlin Glyn Yeager, Ariel LaDawn Yeager, Carlee Renee Stevens and Brian S Knisley, Jr.; her parents, Lester and Evelyn Gamel, of Granton; two sisters, Carol Ann Gamel of Granton; and Susan Ann (Jerry) Stangle of West Allis; and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was conducted at the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Vanceboro, NC.
