Susanne K. Noeldner, 50, Orlando, Fla., formerly of Loyal, died in Marion, Ind., on Tuesday, May 2, 2006. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, May 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman officiated. Burial followed in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Craig Voss, Steven Voss, Michael Voss, Jason Noeldner, Brian Noeldner and Daniel Prust.

Susanne Kay Noeldner was born on April 7, 1956, in Marshfield, to Ervin and Ruth (nee Lindner) Noeldner. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at Pleasant View country school, and in the Loyal School District, graduating from Loyal High School in 1974. She then attended UW-Superior, where she graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in physical education in 1978. She taught school for a short time in Tigerton School District. In 1979, she enrolled in the respiratory therapy program at Mid-State Technical College, Marshfield, where she graduated with her degree in 1981. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, for one year, and then at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire, for another year, before moving to Florida. She worked at Orlando General Hospital, as a respiratory therapist, and completed further training to receive her national certification. She worked at Orlando General Hospital for 23 years, 18 of those years on the medical transport flight crew. For the past two years, she combined the love of travel with her work as a traveling contracted respiratory therapist. She worked in Arkansas, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Florida. She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family and friends, Photography, scuba diving, and traveling. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She will be sadly missed by her mother, Ruth (LaVerne) Machtan, Spencer; five siblings, Jean (Ron) Abel, Junction City, Marilyn (John) Palmer, Steamboat Springs, Colo., Jerry (Sandra) Noeldner, Loyal, Richard (Dee) Noeldner, Cumberland, Cynthia (Terry) Prust, Spencer; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death was her father.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
