Sunday April 4, at the German M. E. Church at Pasadena, Calif., several former Neillsville folks witnessed the marriage of Mrs. Elsie King Altemus and Carl Stange. Rev. Elger performed the service. Before the service, little Shelby Walden played two violin selections and Mrs. Harry Turvey (Flaria Drescher) sang "Sweet Mystery of Life". Mrs. James Taylor of Baldwin Park played the wedding march. The bride looked lovely in a dress of dark purple and carried a bouquet of baby breath and spring flowers. They had not attendants.

The alter was dressed with green and spring flowers which made a lovely setting. After the service a reception was held in the church parlors. Ice cream, cake and coffee were served. Two large wedding cakes, one white and one gold were cut by the bride. After a short honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Stange will make their home at Baldwin Park, Calif. Mrs. Stange owns and operates the only Variety stone in Baldwin Park. Mr. Stange retired recently and has made his home with a niece at Fontana, Calif. Both Mr. and Mrs. Stange are very well known in Neillsville, both spending most of their lives there.
