Lezotte, Marvin (7 June 1903 - 25 June 1937)

Marvin Lezotte, formerly of Neillsville, but residing in Fort Atkinson for a good many years and two other men of that city, Carl Hackbarth and Aaron Miller, were drowned in Lake Ripley, near Fort Atkinson, Monday evening, June 25, their boat capsizing while they were fishing.

The body of Mr. Lezotte was not recovered until the next day.

Deceased was born near Neillsville, June 7, 1903, but moved with his parents to Fort Atkinson where he spent most of his life.

He was employed in the James Manufacturing plant.

He was married in 1924 to Miss Florence Lentz of Rockford, Ill., who survives him.

They had no children of their own but had taken into their home a little girl, "Tweedie," who had lived with them two years, whom they loved and cared for as their own.

Mr. Lezotte leave three brothers, Mark and Irving of Fort Atkinson, and Archie of Jefferson; three sisters, Mrs. Roland Hartel of Fort Atkinson and Mrs. Albert Walter and Mrs. Otto Miller of Neillsville, Wis.

Funeral services for Mr. Lezotte and Mr. Hackbarth were held at the Congregational Church in Fort Atkinson, Thursday, Rev Chas. W. Boardman officiating and requiem high mass was read at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for Mr. Miller on Thursday morning, Rev. Fr. Edward Aumann officiating. The James plant was closed down for the day and hundreds of people attended the funerals.
