Sloup, Nata Lee C. (Marriage - 4 Sept. 1937)

In a single ring ceremony performed by Father Feest in St. Aloysius Church in West Allis, Nata Lee C. Sloup, daughter of Frank Sloup of West Allis became the bride of R. W. Schiller, son of Mrs. Rose Schiller of Neillsville at 9 o’clock Sept. 4. Mr. Schiller is well known in this community, having graduated from Neillsville schools, St. Thomas College in St. Paul, and the Goodman School of Embalming in Milwaukee. For the past few years he has been engaged as a mortician. The bride is a graduate of West Allis high school, and has been engaged as a stenographer by the Allis Chalmers Mfg. Co.

The church was decorated in white, pink and tea roses for the occasion. The bridal dress consisted of a white satin dress with veil, and a bouquet of white roses and gladiolas. The bridesmaid was Louise Slawny, and the maid of honor Mrs. G. Ingbretson. Lohengrin’s wedding march was played at the ceremony. The bride was given away by her father, and the best man was Kenneth Wagner of Neillsville, Wis. The 2 ushers a friend of the grooms and brother of the bride were William Fiess and Clarence Sloup.

After the wedding there was a reception at Underwood Hotel in Wauwatosa for 16 guests given by the bride’s father. After a trip to Chicago, the couple returned here Tuesday.
