Howard, Ellen D. (24 MAY 1934)

Thursday forenoon at 11 o’clock, Mat 24th, a pretty wedding took place at the Methodist parsonage, Neillsville, when Miss Ellen D. Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Howard, Eaton, residing on the Twenty-six Road, became the bride of Melnard A. Hansen, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hansen of Levis.

The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul B. White, pastor of the Methodist church, Neillsville, Wis.

The bride wore an ankle length gown of light blue silk and carried a lacy bouquet of bridal wreath, for-get-me-nots with dainty gypsophilas. She was attended by the groom’s sisters Pearl and Belle Hansen, who wore gowns of pink and green respectively, each carried a bouquet of spring flowers.

The groom wore a navy blue suit and was attended by the bride’s brothers Hugh and Lawrence Howard, who wore suits of navy blue and brown respectively.

A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents to immediate relatives. Saturday evening, May 26th, a wedding dance was held at the Riverside Pavilion.

A miscellaneous shower and dance was given at the Globe Hall Sunday evening, May 20th, by a host of friends and relatives.

The young couple will be at home on a farm near Neillsville, Wis.

Best wishes are extended from their many friends for a happy wedded life.
