Hoernke, Helen (15 JUL 1915)

A pretty ceremony was performed at St. John’s Church in the town of Wein (Marathon Co., Wis.), on Thursday, July 15, 1915, when Rev. Karl Schmalz pronounced the words that united Miss Helen Hoernke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hoernke of the town of Frankfort (Marathon Co.), and Mr. Fred Hanneman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Hanneman of the town of Wein, in marriage. The bride was attended by Misses Matilda Hoernke, Emma Fuhrman and Louise Punke, and the groom by Messrs. Henry Bauman, Otto Hanneman and Wm. Hoernke. The bride was attired in a white silk crepe de chien lace, and wore a veil held in place by white roses and ferns. She also carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses, sweet peas and ferns. The bridesmaids were dressed in pink and white and carried bouquets of pink carnations and ferns. After the ceremony the guests were received at the home of the bride’s parents, where an elaborate wedding dinner was served.

The out of town guests were, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Raddatz, Misses Johanna and Lydia Raddatz of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Raddatz and family of Hilbert; Miss Emma Fuhrman and Miss Anna Pergande of Milwaukee. Both the groom and bride are well known prominent young people. They will reside in the town of Wein, where the groom is one of the successful farmers.
