Tlusty, Nellie (12 Sept. 1916 - 6 Sept. 2005)

RIB LAKE - Nellie Tlusty, 88, of Rib Lake, formerly of Westboro, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at Rib Lake Health Care Center.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Westboro.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the church.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake is assisting the family with the arrangements.

The former Nellie Schorer was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Greenwood to William and Agnes (Voelker) Schorer. She had been employed as a nurse's aide in Marshfield and Medford prior to her marriage to Lawrence Tlusty on Aug. 18, 1937, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Nellie and Lawrence moved to the Tlusty Ranch at Westboro in 1967. They had owned and operated Tlusty Beverage Co. in Medford for 30 years and the Tlusty Ranch since 1953.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Tlusty of Westboro; two sons, James L. (Joan) Tlusty, Westboro, and Jerome (Cindy) Tlusty, Schofield; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Myrtle Buning, Chio Mich., Joyce (Charlie) Ohlinger, Colby, and Grace (Del) Knowles, Payson, Ariz.; and her brother, William (Lea) Schorer, Macheoney Park, Ill.

Nellie Tlusty

Nellie Tlusty, 88, Westboro, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at the Rib Lake Health Care Center.

Nellie had been employed as a nurse's aide in Marshfield and Medford. Nellie and her husband owned and operated Tlusty Beverage Co. in Medford for 30 years, and the Tlusty Ranch since 1953.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Tlusty, Westboro; two sons, James L. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. today, and again from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Friday at the church.
