Voight, Mrs. Mary (January 12, 1864 - April 21, 1953)

LOYAL--Mrs. Mary Voight, 89, a pioneer resident of this area, died at 11 p. m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. She had been a patient there since Jan. 30.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Loyal Methodist Church. The Rev. Lee Holmes, La Crosse, will officiate and burial will be made in the Loyal cemetery.

The body is reposing at the Myre Funeral Home.

Mrs. Voight, the former Mary DeLoye, was born Jan. 12, 1864, in Potosi. Her marriage to Fred Voight took place in 1880. They came to Loyal about 40 years ago and operated the Central Hotel until it burned in 1924. After his death, in 1935, Mrs. Voight operated a gift and dress shop for several years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, Royal Neighbors of America, and the American Legion auxillery.

Survivors include two daughters, Julia Voight, Platteville, and Mrs. Archie (Agnes) Leemon, Watertown; three sons, Harvey, Wauwatosa, and Hal and Percy, Loyal; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leland DeLoye, Big Falls, Minn.

A son and 12 brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
