Rahm, Hattie (17 March 1892 - 4 Dec. 1941)

Mrs. August Rahm, 49, died at her home, 7 miles west of Spencer in the Town of Sherman, at 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec, 4, 1941 of cancer. She had been ill the past two years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:15 p.m. Sunday at the Swarthout Funeral Home in Spencer, followed at 2 p.m. by rites at Salem Lutheran Church, Veefkind, with the Rev. J. C. Langholtz officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Hattie Schroeder was born in Dodge County on March 17, 1892, and came to Clark County not long before her marriage to August Rahm on Aug. 9, 1913, in the Town of Sherman. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and of its Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving are her husband and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schroeder of Loyal, and six children; Walter of Chili; William and Bernard of Spencer; Mrs. Ervin (Alma) Hopfensperger, Spencer; Mrs. Marvin (Emily) Sutliff, Marshfield and Miss Ada Rahm at home. There are six grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Julius Schroeder, Spencer; Mrs. Albert Mellenthin, Unity; Mrs. Munson Vanderhoof, Marshfield; Miss Frieda Schroeder, Evanston, Ill; Roy Schroeder, Spencer; Mrs. Walter Krahn, Loyal; and Bert Schroeder, Rockford, Ill.
