Kalischefski, Melissa K. (February 27, 1971 - April 9, 2005)

Melissa K. Kalischefski, age 34, nee Michalski, formerly of Neillsville, died Saturday, April 9, at her home in Huntly, IL.

Melissa was born on February 27, 1971, in Oak Park, IL. She got most of her formal education in Illinois and moved to Neillsville in 1988 and graduated from Neillsville high School in 1989. After graduation Melissa worked for awhile at Russell’s Hardware Store. She moved back to Illinois after meeting her husband-to-be in Neillsville, Wis. Melissa was united in marriage to Andreas (Andy) Kalischefski on February 12, 1994. Melissa was a member of The Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Algonquin, IL. Melissa loved her family and enjoy being with them. She was an avid scrapbooker and enjoyed decorating her home, gardening, and playing bunco with her friends. She truly enjoyed helping her family and friends whenever she was needed.

She is the beloved wife of Andreas; loving mother of Taylor, Kaitlyn and Grace; beloved daughter of Mary (Warren) Struensee, of Neillsville; and Donald (Gayle) Michalski, of Las Vegas; dear sister of Mark (Amy) Michalski; Melody (Keith) Clemens; Joey Struensee and Steven (Amanda) Struensee; fond Aunt of Aaron, Jordan and Peyton Michalski; Maddison and Luke Clemens; Cody, Jennifer and Cade Struensee; fond daughter-in-law of Chris and Candy Kalischefski.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Services were held April 12 in Algonquin, IL with the interment April 13 at McHenry Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL. Pastor Sandy Bentz and Pastor Kendall Koenig officiated.

Casket bearers were: Mark Michalski, Keith Clemens, Danny Ross, Rob Nolte, Chris Kalischefski and Lee Lemke.

A Memorial account has been set up at the Mid Wisconsin Bank in Neillsville, Acct #836569.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
