Ralph Edward Blackman passed away at 2 a.m. Tuesday after several years of illness with diabetes and heart trouble.

Deceased was born in the town of Grant November 30, 1879, to Mary and Sims Blackman, spending practically all his life on the farm.

In 1905 he was united in marriage to Miss Pearl Gilford of Neillsville and to them was born one daughter, (Dafane), Mrs. Lyman Chase.

He leaves to mourn his death the daughter and a granddaughter, Marjorie Chase; two brothers, Robert and Clifford Blackman on the home farm, and three sisters; Lottie, Mrs. A. H. Duge, Bunker Hill, Ind.; Sadie, Mrs. G. Ruden, and Evelyn, Mrs. Milo Woodford, both of Yoder, Wyoming.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday), at the Schiller Funeral home, interment to be made in the Grant Cemetery at Pleasant Ridge.
