William T. "Tom" Hurt, Jr., 61, Shreveport, La., died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, at his home. Graveside services were held on Saturday, Aug. 26, at Forest Park West Cemetery. The Rev. Larry Gray officiated.
William Thomas Hurt Jr. was born Jan 29, 1945, in Shreveport, La. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of the VFW and the Lowe-McFarland American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Donna (nee Sladich, formerly of Greenwood); his daughter, Kerry Hurt; his sister, Rosemary (Harry) Thompson; and extended family.
