Kapszukiewicz, Ann (July 4, 1913 - September 13, 2006)

Ann Kapszukiewicz, age 93, longtime Gilman area resident, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the Northwest Wisconsin Homecare, Menomonie, WI. A Christian Burial Mass was held on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, WI with Fr. John Long officiating. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call on Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. prior to service time at the church. Gilman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Ann was born July 4, 1913 in Gilman, WI, the daughter of Louis & Franciska (Wisniewski) Zaborowski. She grew up in the Gilman area and went to area schools, graduating from Gilman High School. She then attended Business College in Eau Claire, WI and later was a bookkeeper for Drangles Food in Gilman, WI. She was united in marriage to Stephen Kapszukiewicz on August 26, 1940 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, WI. She worked with her husband at Sunset Service Station in Gilman for many years as a bookkeeper and after their retirement she was a bookkeeper for the SS. Peter & Paul parish. In 1999 she moved to Menomonie, WI with her two daughters and has resided there since. She enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing, and was an avid reader, and loved visiting with her many friends.

Ann is survived by her six children: Kathleen Pember of St. Louis Park, MN, Joyce Kapszukiewicz and Michael (Nancy) Kapszukiewicz both of Menomonie, WI, David (Kathy) Kapszukiewicz of Hortonville, WI, Jean (Richard) Detert of Mosinee, WI, and Susan Kapszukiewicz of Menomonie, WI; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Steve in 1976; brothers: John, Emil, Stanley Ray, Leo "Buck", Joseph and Alois Zaborowski; and two sisters: Louise Lebetcki and Dorothy Rosiejka.
